ADVICE ABOUT RELATIONSHIP

Hi Xènia

We've been on holiday here in Ireland for two weeks now and I've just met this guy, Chris. He's handsome and intelligent, but I'm not sure how I feel about him. I need your advice.

I met him on the youth club yesterday and he invited to me to a café. Both of us were having real fun and then Chris invited me to the cinema with his friends. When we were there, he started to ignore me and he started joking with his friends . When I sad goodbye, he walked to the hotel with me and neither of us could stop talking and laughing.

I've been thinking about things a lot since then. I'll probably see him tomorrow, but I'm not sure what to do if he asks me out. He seems very different when he's with his friends. What do you reckon?

THE 2000s

The two-thousands was a decade that began on January 1, 2000, and ended on December 31, 2009. People remember it for many reasons. There were good times and happy events: the growth of the Internet contributed to globalization during the decade, because it made many more things possible. There were also difficult times, for instance the Global Financial Crisis of the late 2000s.

In the world of music, there were a lot of Rap and Hip Hop artists in the charts, for example, the American rapper Eminem, who sold 32 million albums, and Robbie Williams. In cinemas, the Twilight Saga was a big hit. There were five films between 2008-2009. Fashions were bright and interesting: crop tops and low-rise pants.

By the end of the decade, the world was a different place. New medicines and inventions changed people's lives. One of the most important event of two-thousands took place in 11 September 2001.

MY LAST SUMMER

Hello!

I'm Laia and today I going to talk about my summer holidays. First I'm going to talk about the Rowing Spanish Championship in Sevilla, second I'm going to talk about Ireland and finally I'm going to talk about my last days of summer in Banyoles and Llançà.

When the school finished, I started training hard because in the first days of July I went to the most important competiton of the year: the Spanish Championship. I rowed in 2x with my friend Marina. We went to Sevilla by bus all the rowers. We left on the 3th of July at 6pm and we arrived on the 4th. The qualifying started on Friday afternoon. Marina and I passed. In Saturday we had semifinals. On Sunday morning we had the final, and we won the Spanish Championship!

The day before my birthay, the 20th July, I went to Ennis, a small city in Co. Clare, Ireland to improve my english. I went with my best friend Xènia Quintana, Alba Rost, Maria Prat, Joan Olivella and Ian Bermúdez, our coach. The plane left at 7am, so I got up very early. When arrived at Ennis my hostfamily collected me to the school. I stayed in a very good family and with a French girl. During the two weeks I learnt a lot of English and I did a lot of sports (Irish sports), art activities, and excursions. I visited the Cliffs of Moher, the city of Galway and Limerich. I spent a great time in Ireland and I want to repeat it the next summer.

The last days of summer I went with my parents and my brother in the apartment of Llançà. I like Llançà because I think that is beautiful and quiet. We went to the beach every morning and in the afternoons my mum and I we went to the shops.

In Banyoles I met with my friends and my boyfriend too. I did a lot of things like swim in the lake, eat a ice-cream...

Thanks for your attention.
